TESTIMONIALS

The purpose of this recommendation letter is to outline the excellent performance and professionalism that Nico Mutig and his company, Protek Australia, displayed whilst enacting works on my site during 2016.

As the Unit Security Officer of 1st/15th Royal New South Wales Lancers I was able to work closely with Nico to implement various security upgrades to an existing armoury as well as the building of a new armory at Lancer Barracks within the allotted timeframe given.

I was very impressed with the professionalism and flexibility that was display by Nico and his team to achieve all of the required outcomes desired by Defence. During all phases of the project Nico and the rest of his Protek team were consistently achieving all timelines and kept all key personnel aware of any and all issues with regards to the works being conducted.

Nico has also demonstrated a drive and commitment that is very rarely seen amongst most Defence contractors, an example of this is where he enacted a compromise with an offshore company for the delivery of a vital aspect of the project utilising his own companies resources to ensure that the project was delivered on time and at the correct security specification.

If the opportunity were to present itself in the future where I could utilise Nico and his team and Protek Australia again I would definitely endeavour to do so. I also recommend Nico and his team at Protek Australia for future projects to other potential clients wishing to work with a reliable and highly competent contractor.

Yours sincerely,

Protek was awarded a tender by State Transit Authority (STA) for the refurbishment of the Leichhardt Tramshed Parapet.

The refurbishment works consisted of steel supporting beam and column replacement in situ on a 1900’s era heritage listed structure. The works involved Asbestos removal, heritage brickwork, structural steelwork, plumbing, roof replacement, carpentry, site surveying, civil and hydraulic engineer works and concrete replacement.

Protek managed all on site works professionally and without disruption to STA’s operational requirements. Operational requirements also incorporated systems to ensure Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) equipment maintained access at all times within a tight working environment.

Protek supplied professional tender documents and outstanding systems that have exceeded industry expectations and requirement. Protek worked within budget and timeframes in which have no reservations in highly recommending Protek for any building and project works.

Qantas Defence Services (QDS) would like to take this opportunity to express its appreciation to Protek Aust Pty Ltd during the Hangar Door Refurbishment in Hangar 523 over the past fourteen weeks.

The refurbishment of the Hangar Doors was a complex program with the removal of pigeon droppings, door motor replacements and the installation of netting. The main consideration of safety was paramount by Protek. The environmental contingencies implemented during the pigeon dropping removal, the electrical isolation procedures adopted for the doors during refurbishment and netting displayed a total commitment to their workforce and also to those working in the Hangar.

We would like to offer a special mention to MR Nico Mutig, Mr Amin Alkozai and Brett Macpherson of Protek, who in all stages of this project, ensured that all aspects were covered and portrayed to both QDS and Defence. In particular, Brett, continually liaised with QDS on their progress, and constantly sought confirmation that all was progressing satisfactorily. The requirement for doors to be opened or moved to facilitate aircraft movements in and out of the Hangar was accommodated by Brett regardless of project status.

The cooperation extended to QDS by Protek during the project was excellent, and one that QDS is extremely grateful. Please pass on to all the staff of Protek our thanks for a job well done. Thank you.

Yours Faithfully,
